Nelson Classroom (Level 8) Thursday, November 10
    10:30 - 11:45 AM

  • Description

One of the many benefits that came with Mac OS X Lion was Apple's revamp of their FileVault application. What was once an encryption solution that primarily protected an account's home folder is now protection for the entire boot volume. Despite the similar name, FileVault and FileVault 2 are very different solutions. This session will briefly cover one organization's experience with this application and then go into more depth on how Apple has taken components of FileVault and applied them to FileVault 2. In this session we'll talk about how to deploy FileVault 2 in the enterprise, and how to centrally manage the FileVault 2 recovery key across multiple Macs.
